Lithium Aerials delivers professional drone services in Los Angeles tailored specifically for film, television, commercial, automotive, sports, and branded productions. Our FAA Part 107-certified and union-compliant crews provide safe, production-ready aerial solutions designed to integrate seamlessly into complex film environments. From stabilized heavy-lift platforms to agile FPV systems and advanced aerial lighting configurations, our drone services are structured for high-end cinematic execution across Los Angeles and Southern California. Every job gets a dedicated pilot and, for camera work, a separate camera operator. Both are Local 600 and FAA Part 107 certified. We handle FAA authorization; production and locations handle the location itself.

Built for Professional Production Environments
Lithium Aerials operates with full insurance coverage, union-compliant crews, and deep familiarity with Los Angeles permitting and airspace coordination requirements. We understand production timelines, safety standards, and on-set workflows — ensuring aerial operations integrate efficiently without disrupting principal photography.
Permits, Insurance & Safety
Every Lithium Aerials shoot is flown by FAA Part 107-certified pilots and backed by $5 million in aviation liability coverage. We hold an FAA Section 44807 exemption to fly heavy-lift aircraft over 55 lbs, which lets us put full-size cinema cameras in the air, and we secure airspace authorizations and other FAA approvals as each shoot requires. Certificates of insurance are typically turned around the same or next business day. For FilmLA, we prepare all drone-specific paperwork and work directly with your locations team; the production pulls the permit.
